I’ve never been a huge fan of Game’s R&B tracks, and songs like Touchdown and Gentleman’s Affair are no exception. There are not enough highlights on this album to justify 19 tracks at well over an hour. The problem with LAX is that it is bloated as hell. The last two tracks, Game’s Pain and Letter to the King, also close the album out well. My Life is easily the best song on the album and is a definite top-10 track in Game’s catalogue, the bars are just too clean. Game brings his energy into the bars though, and he also brings back his classic west coast gangsta sound on the next two tracks, State of Emergency and Bulletproof Diaries. The album gets off to an interesting start with the preachy intro from DMX followed by the cryptic hook on the first track LAX Files. That said, the album charted well commercially and almost gave him a third #1 album in a row. LAX features another bloated track list (which is now to be expected by Game) and comes out at over an hour and 15. ![]() Dre and 50 Cent, The Game was in prime position to continue to dominate the rap game as one of the most consistent and successful rappers from the west coast at that point in time. ![]() The Game returns two years after the successful “Doctor’s Advocate” to release the third album in his discography, “LAX.” After achieving further commercial success on his second album without the help of Dr.
